We are now recruiting mentors for the Spring 2026 cohort of the CCB-SEEDS Mentorship Program! Please sign up here by Wednesday, April 15th if your research is in the fields of Ecology, Evolution, and/or Conservation Biology, and you have a desire to foster undergraduate interest in your field. No previous experience is required and grad students of all stages are encouraged to apply!
As a mentor, you will work one-on-one with an undergraduate in a structured yet flexible format to teach them the basics of your field and research (see Spring 2026 Program Description, also attached to this email). This is a great opportunity to connect casually with enthusiastic students that could end up being your vital research assistants, and mentorship is a highly sought-after addition to your CV. The mentor workload is extremely low, and mentorship is a valuable experience as a grad student. If you have any questions about the program, feel free to reach out to me (audrey.burr@email.ucr.edu) or Brittney Nguyen (brittney.nguyen@email.ucr.edu).
If you are not able to participate this quarter but would still like to support the program, you can help us by sharing our undergraduate student recruitment slide (attached below) with your classes or your lab's undergraduate researchers!
