Dear Highlander Community,

In an effort to provide campus with additional support for remote teaching and working, please note that ITS has extended the decommission deadline for the AnyConnect VPN to May 1, 2020.

This means campus users currently have two Virtual Private Network (VPN) options if required to access secure campus resources from off site. Users can either use the new GlobalProtect VPN (view instructions here) or they can continue to use the old AnyConnect VPN (view instructions here). Please note that users can only be logged into one VPN at a time.

The VPN is a secure tunnel that is established between your computer and the UCR network. It protects your data and campus data as it is transmitted through the public internet. When working remotely you can use a VPN connection to access secure campus resources as if you were on campus.
