Dear UCR Community, 

As you are aware, the in-person 2020 Commencement ceremonies scheduled for May and June have been postponed until they can be safely rescheduled, except for the School of Medicine, which will have an online graduation ceremony for their M.D. graduates on May 29.

 

An online celebration for UC Riverside’s Class of 2020 will be held on Sunday, June 14, 2020, at 2 p.m. 

 

This virtual event will include a brief prerecorded video program filled with congratulations for the UCR Class of 2020, and each graduate will be recognized through individual, personalized slides that will include the graduate’s name, degree information and honors (if applicable) and dissertation/thesis title (if applicable). In addition, each graduate will have the opportunity to add their photo and a personal message to their slide.

 

The entire UCR Community is invited to join in this online celebration. A link to the Class of 2020 Online Celebration will be posted on the Commencement website on Sunday, June 14, 2020, at 1:55 p.m. (PDT).

 

We will continue to follow guidelines established by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and abide by orders from California Governor Gavin Newsom and the Riverside County Public Health Officer before determining appropriate dates for the postponed in-person ceremonies. Information regarding those ceremonies will be communicated approximately 3 months prior to the ceremony dates.
