The Office of Sustainability is excited to announce the creation of a new program tailored for UCR employees. The Employee Sustainability Ambassador Program (ESAP) aims to create an opportunity for employees to receive sustainability updates, discuss sustainability issues and raise questions about sustainability at UC Riverside and the community.

The sustainable practices discussion areas will include Green Building Design, Clean Energy, Sustainable Transportation, Climate Protection, Sustainable Building & Laboratory Operations, Zero Waste, Sustainable Procurement, Sustainable Foodservices, Sustainable Water Systems, Environmental Justice and Academic Sustainability. The discussion levels will focus on home, office, campus, city, state or a combination sustainability levels depending on the outcome of this survey. Ambassadors also get to interact with guest speakers and decision makers who influence sustainability at UC Riverside and the community.

Ambassadors will be expected to attend the orientation session, meetings every other month, participate in discussions and share outreach materials through their department’s newsletters or social media. The Office of Sustainability will provide the necessary support including the creation of outreach materials to be shared with the ambassadors for distribution.  To become a sustainability ambassador, please take five minutes to complete THIS SURVEY. The survey will be used to determine the feasibility and scope of the Employee Sustainability Ambassador Program (ESAP).
