New Pandemic Relief for Flexible Spending Arrangement (FSA) Participants

Please note that the “blackout period” described in the March 8, 2021 scotmemo – New Pandemic Relief for Flexible Spending Arrangement (FSA) Participants, applies to claims for expenses incurred in the 2020 plan year only. During the transition of data from the Wage Works system to the Discovery Benefits/Wex system occurring from April 16 to no later than May 31. 2021; FSA administrators will not be able to process claims or issue reimbursements for expenses incurred in 2020. Claims for expenses incurred in 2021, including debit card purchases, will continue to be processed without a blackout period.
