Dear Campus Community,

As you are aware, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, UC Riverside has established on-campus COVID-19 testing in order to further protect the health and safety of the campus community.

UCR’s testing program has operated through Color, in partnership with the California Department of Public Health. Individuals testing on campus register with Color and complete a consent form allowing UCR access to test results.

To date, test results have been accessed only by the individuals tested, who in turn report results through UCR’s Daily Wellness Check. However, due to a significant increase in COVID-19 positivity rates, beginning January 31, 2022, UCR will begin to utilize the existing ability to access campus testing results through Color. Results will be utilized for case investigation purposes, access to results will be limited to the COVID Management Team, and UCR will continue to safeguard individual health information in accordance with applicable law.

Employees should still use the Daily Wellness Check to report when they are exposed, have COVID-19 symptoms, or have tested positive.
