Dear UCR Campus Community, 

This week, we are expecting record heat and energy demand at its highest.

Due to these conditions, we are asking the UCR Community to voluntarily reduce their electricity use throughout the day. Please consider turning off lights, unplugging unused appliances and equipment, closing blinds to deflect the sun, setting thermostats to no lower than 78 degrees, not operating energy-intensive equipment, and closing doors to keep in air conditioning.

Your assistance in reducing energy use is greatly appreciated.
