After a nationwide search, I am pleased to announce the appointment of Annya Lott as UC Riverside’s next Associate Vice Chancellor for Development. 

 

Annya most recently worked as Senior Director of Philanthropy for Pitzer College. She has over 15 years of experience in higher education, nonprofit philanthropy, and communications. In addition to strategic advancement leadership, Annya has a track record in major and principal gift fundraising as well as philanthropic investments and advising. She also brings extensive experience in the arena of corporate and foundation relations, raising nearly $40M from large national organizations since 2016. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Spelman College and a Master of Science in Journalism from Boston University.

 

Lott is a California native and has lived in the Inland Empire for the last seven years with a deep commitment to the region’s vitality and existing connections to the community’s philanthropic supporters. She brings to UCR experience and depth of knowledge in fundraising, pipeline development, and donor engagement. I look forward to her leadership and advisement as a member of my executive team. I believe Annya will be a vital asset poised to help University Advancement achieve new fundraising heights to elevate the impact of our faculty, staff, and students. Her first day at UCR will be March 6.
