Dear Campus Community,
Thank you for your continued contributions to the overall success of UC Riverside. Through your dedication and commitment, we continue to thrive in our research, teaching, and service missions. The momentum that we continue to build positions UCR as a university of choice for both students and employees.
This year, I am pleased to announce a 4.6% general salary increase for all policy-covered staff and academic employees for the 2023-2024 fiscal year, subject to eligibility requirements (click here to view the requirements), and is contingent upon the state budget allocation. While the general salary adjustment will not be a “merit” allocation this year, employees must receive a minimum overall rating of “Successfully Meets Performance Expectations”/ “Successful” (for pilot participants) on their 2023 Performance Appraisal to be eligible for the general salary increase.
For eligible policy-covered staff, the 4.6% increase to their base salary will be effective July 1, 2023. The adjustment to the academic salary scales will be effective, October 1, 2023, for policy-covered faculty, and July 1, 2023, for other policy-covered academic appointees. In addition to the 4.6% increase on salary scales, off-scale and above-scale salary components will increase 3.0%, as they did last year. The remaining 1.6% will be reserved for the biennial faculty salary equity adjustment program in 2024. Finally, please note that union-represented employees are not included in this program, as their wages are governed by collective-bargaining agreements.
Thank you again for your continued contribution and support of UCR, and your daily dedication to serving our students, faculty, and employees.
