Dear Campus Community, 

 

Earlier this month, Vice Chancellor and Chief Diversity Officer Mariam Lam began an academic administrative sabbatical. 

 

During the time from July 1 to January 31, Estela Gavosto, who is currently our Associate Vice Chancellor for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and Professor of Teaching in the Department of Mathematics, will serve as Acting Vice Chancellor for DEI, pending approval by the UC Office of the President. She will continue leading the campus AAAS SEA CHANGE and HSI Committee efforts, while also representing UC Riverside on systemwide and national professional associations during this time.
