Dear Colleagues,
Each year UC collaborates with Coro, a prestigious national non-profit leadership development organization, to provide two distinct systemwide development programs for UC faculty and staff – the UC Executive Leadership Collaborative, designed for direct reports to a Dean or Vice Chancellor, and the UC Women’s Initiative (UC WI), which is a targeted professional development program designed to prepare more women for advancement within UC. We are pleased to announce the opening of the nomination process for the 2024-2025 Systemwide UC Women’s Initiative for Professional Development. We anticipate that the call for nominations for the Executive Leadership Collaborative will occur later this year.
UC WI is an experiential professional development program for women designed to elevate women in leadership, establish a pipeline for advancement, and contribute to women’s and UC's success. UC WI is sponsored by the Systemwide Advisory Committee on the Status of Women (SACSW) and the UC Office of the President, and is delivered by Coro. The program was awarded the 2018 Brandon Hall Group Gold Excellence Award for Best Advance in Women’s Leadership Development in 2018.
Six cohorts will be offered with the nomination and selection process running February 2024 through May 2024.
The program fee is $1,287.50 per participant which covers the virtual program delivery and all program resources, tools and support. Upon return to the preferred, in-person delivery method, we expect the fee to increase to its original $1,950 per participant or higher based on the cost of in-person delivery. By nominating and selecting an individual, the location is agreeing to payment of the $1,287.50 participant fee.
The UCR nomination process opened on February 26, 2024; applications are due by March 22, 2024.
Please visit the UC Women’s Initiative for Professional Development webpage for:

Finally, note that the second cohort of the UCR Coro Leadership Collaborative Program will begin accepting applications this spring. This program is intended for tenured faculty who are interested in developing skills and knowledge for leadership at the Riverside campus. A separate announcement will be sent to faculty when the application window opens. Similarly, the systemwide UC Coro Leadership Collaborative Program will similarly be accepting applications this spring.
