UCR Human Resources (HR), in partnership with Information Technology Solutions (ITS), is pleased to announce that the new employee self-service portal, R’Employee Services, will launch on January 12, 2026. This is a significant milestone in the multi-year Avanti HR Roadmap, UC Riverside’s campus-wide journey to strategically transform HR services into a unified HR ecosystem.
What Sets This Portal Apart from Other Campus Resources?
The launch of the employee self-service portal is the next chapter in our journey to deliver standardized HR services that serve to increase efficiency and make the employee experience even better.
Beginning January 12, 2026, UCR staff can use the R’Employee Services portal to access select HR services, including Leave of Absence and retirement counseling requests. The portal allows employees to track service requests, message their case manager, upload requested documents, receive real-time email updates, quickly access HR news and resources, and request HR support.
The long-term vision is to add more employee-facing services to this portal so that it may serve as a true one-stop shop for all UCR employees.
Save the Date: Join the Avanti Town Hall and Portal Demo
If you want to learn more about Avanti and the R’Employee Services portal, don’t miss the Town Hall on January 8, 2026, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. Attendees will hear from Chief HR Officer Alex Najera and Chief Information Officer Matt Gunkel, as well as view a demo of the new portal and receive access to training resources.
