We understand that recent reports of immigration enforcement activity nationally have caused worry among UCR students, faculty, and staff. At the present time, UCPD has received no information about current or pending immigration enforcement activity on campus. However, I ask that everyone become familiar with the guidance and resources available, including on a new website.

In December, I shared a message titled, “Guidance related to immigration enforcement notification procedures,” in line with our obligations related to state legislation—Senate Bill 98 (2025) and Assembly Bill 21 (2017). In addition to that message, you’ll now find a website that includes resources for international students, undocumented students, and counseling and other resources for students and employees. It also includes a link to a printable UC Know Your Rights Card, as well as more information about SB 98 (2025) and AB 21 (2017). By centralizing this information, we aim to reduce uncertainty, ensure our campus community has access to accurate guidance and support when it’s needed, and help prevent the spread of misinformation.

This information is shared in the spirit of care for our community, with the hope that clear guidance and trusted resources can ease uncertainty and help us look out for one another.
