Healthy Department Certification

UCR Healthy Campus and the Faculty/Staff Wellness Program are pleased to announce the new Healthy Department Certification (HDC) program. The HDC is a way to recognize, celebrate and reward departments at UCR that enable students, faculty and staff to lead healthy lifestyles in support of creating a healthy campus culture. The Healthy Department Certification program has been developed with input from various partners and with the support from Staff Assembly. The program has also been endorsed by Gerry Bomotti, Vice Chancellor, Planning, Budget & Administration.

Certified healthy departments are wellness leaders on campus, demonstrating a wellness standard that others can strive for. Through the Healthy Department Certification program, we will build a campus community in which every department contributes to a safe and healthy workplace environment, encourages safe and healthy behaviors, and empowers leadership, faculty and staff to create an overall healthier UCR.

  • All HDC applications are due by April 30, 2020.
  • Award recipients will be announced no later than June 30, 2020.
