The Career Center and Financial Aid invite you to consider hiring a student through the Federal Work-Study program (FWS).
Due to COVID-19, we have made some significant changes to allow flexibility and a way to stretch your restricted budgets. For the 20-21 academic year (only), the FWS program will be changing the traditional wage split from a 50%-50% to a 65%-35% split. FWS will cover 65% of the wages and the department will only cover 35% (example, for every $1,000 of earnings, the department will only pay $350). The split for work-study categorized as "community service" will remain the same, 75% work-study and 25% department.
Given our remote environment, we have worked out a digital process via DocuSign that will facilitate the process without having to pass a physical document around for signatures.
Tuesday, Sept 8th, all work-study positions start to be viewable to students for Fall quarter. We invite you to take the next step and post your position on Handshake! Visit our website to learn more about the updates and review these instructions to post your job.
