Research is a key part of our campus community. As the new academic year approaches, it is a great time for laboratory and research personnel to take a few moments for safety. One way to do this is to check training records to ensure all certifications are up to date. There are many courses that have an annual, bi-annual or other retraining frequency. The most common safety training to check certification dates are: Laboratory Safety Fundamentals (retraining three years), Fire Extinguishers (annual), Hazardous Materials and Waste Management (annual).
Here’s how to check training records:
• Log into the UCR Learning Center
• Select “Transcripts & Certificates”
• Change date range to: “All”
• Certifications that have an expiration date will show in the expiration column.
*You can take a course before the expiration date.
