Gerry Bomotti, Vice Chancellor for Planning, Budget & Administration and Human Resources in collaboration with Staff Assembly, are hosting a webinar town hall on Friday, March 19th from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. The purpose of the town hall will be to solicit feedback, input and suggestions from the campus as we begin to think about the options for remote work for staff post COVID.
There have been many questions coming from across campus about what the post-COVID “normal” might be relative to remote work. A possible silver lining of the COVID experience is that many staff can work very effectively remotely, although some must come to campus to perform their duties and responsibilities. UCR is initiating a process to engage campus in a discussion about post-COVID remote work and this town hall is a kick off to that process. We mostly want to highlight that we are going to work on this important issue and we would use this town hall to gather feedback and input from campus. We also want to address questions that we can at this point although there is much work to be done through this process before we have any final recommendations, and we expect guidance coming from UCOP as well.
The session will also feature Dennis McIver, Staff Assembly President and Jeff Girod, Staff Assembly Vice President/President-Elect. This session will be recorded for future viewing as well.
