June is Safety Month at UCR!
Join us each week for a different safety topic, designed to empower and educate the campus community with valuable knowledge and skills.
Throughout June, a range of engaging training topics will be covered weekly. These topics include:
Week 1 | Outdoor Hazards: Preventing Heat Illness: Join us to discuss the hazards of working outdoors, how to prevent heat illness, and learn what to do if you or a coworker experiences heat stress.
Week 2 | Employee Injuries: How to Prevent Them & What to Do if They Occur: Supervisors and Managers, join us for a session on injury prevention, injury reporting fundamentals and the workers compensation process.
Week 3 | Emergency Resources: Learn about the Emergency Resources on Campus, learn about the emergency procedures and resources on campus, BSEC & BES program, Emergency Assembly Areas and more!
Week 4 | How to Work Safely in a Lab: All research has hazards and there are risks associated with them. This session will teach you how to Recognize Hazards, Assess the Risks of Hazards, Minimize the Risk of Hazards and Prepare for Emergencies.
Week 5 | Meet your safety partners: Join us to meet the EH&S Team: learn about who we are, how we can help and the programs on campus designed to support you!
