Retirement celebration for UC Path executive director

Please join us in celebrating Antonette Toney’s 30 years of service to the University of California on June 27.

Antonette has announced her early retirement from UCR, effective June 30,  to focus on her health. Antonette currently serves as the executive director of the UC Path Campus Support Center, or CSC, at UCR and was instrumental in launching the center, providing strategic direction for UCR UCPath operations and fostering collaboration among all campus central functional areas. Among her accomplishments and contributions to UCR are her leadership of the CSC during very challenging and pivotal times during the COVID-19 pandemic and our current Impact23 implementation project. During 2020, Antonette led the effort that launched three of our seven campus shared service centers. As part of her professional legacy, Antonette has mentored a strong and talented CSC team who will continue to serve the campus with excellence and exemplary customer service in the years ahead.   

Antonette has worked at UC Riverside for over 25 years, holding various positions on campus.  Before her appointment as the CSC executive director, Antonette served five years in Affirmative Action as a principal data analyst and 11 years in Academic Personnel as the technology, compensation and data manager. While in Academic Personnel, she was assigned to the UCPath project in 2010 and served as the academic personnel functional lead and the UCR data conversion co-lead for our campus pilot UCPath go live in 2018.  Antonette worked at UCLA prior to coming to UCR. 

In her spare time, she enjoys journaling, practicing yoga, beach camping, baking, mixing essential oils, reading, writing and traveling. In her retirement, Antonette plans to publish her devotional writings and spend time mentoring/coaching, and discipling young adults. 

Throughout her long career, she has made a profound impact at UCR and has built many relationships.  She is an esteemed colleague described as resilient, knowledgeable, authentic, encouraging and will definitely be missed.
