Join the R’Healthy Campus Movement at UCR
UCR is celebrating the inaugural U.S. Health Promoting Campuses Week, April 21-25, in honor of the 10th anniversary of the Okanagan Charter, which was developed by health promotion scholars and professionals from around the world to guide colleges and universities to be global leaders in developing and modeling health promoting principles in a time when climate change, mental health, and public health crises are daily challenges.
R'Healthy Campus is UCR’s campus-wide movement to advance the health and well-being of the Highlander community through efforts that embed health into every aspect of the university culture, and fosters collaboration and action from across all areas of the institution.
Here are opportunities for students, faculty, and staff to learn about and get involved in R’Healthy Campus as part of this week’s celebration:
- Visit rhealthycampus.ucr.edu for more information.
- Sign up for the R’Healthy Campus Listserv to receive regular updates on the latest initiatives, events, and activities.
- Follow @rhealthycampus on Instagram and fellow Highlanders to join the movement. Check out daily posts throughout the week.
- Join an R’Healthy Campus Action Group to lead the promotion of health and well-being at UCR.
And... there’s more!
During National Health Promoting Campuses Week, UCR students, faculty, and staff are invited to two events:
- Visit the R'Healthy Campus table and receive giveaways at the UCR Sustainability Showcase & Flea Market on April 23.
- Join UCR’s R’Healthy Campus walking team at the American Heart Association’s Heart and Stroke Walk on April 26.
More information about these events is pinned @rhealthycampus on Instagram.

We are just getting started!
