Study Participation Requested for Children Ages 5-9 Years: Combining Mixed Reality and Movement.

Help us advance our understanding of movement in mixed reality!

The Pediatric Rehabilitation Technology lab is recruiting families to participate in an exciting study- which aims to explore the use of mixed reality gaming headsets- to promote motor learning in children.

We are seeking participation from families with typically developing children between the ages of 5 and 9 years old, who have no history of seizures, screen-related motion sickness, or hearing/vision impairments.

Participants will attend a single session, lasting no more than 2 hours, at our research lab on the UCR campus. During the session, children will have the opportunity to use a mixed-reality headset and engage in immersive virtual games, while our team uses cameras and motion capture sensors to examine their movements.

Compensation in the form of a $30 gift card will be provided to families who participate in the study.
