Infants (4-9 months) Study Participation Requested: A Soft Wearable Robotic Suit to Assist Arm Movement

The Pediatric Rehabilitation Technology Lab at UC Riverside is conducting a research study on infant arm movement.

We are looking for infants between 4 and 9 months if they are typically developing (i.e., infants born at term, not diagnosed with a developmental disorder) and between 4 and 12 months for those who may experience arm motor delays.

Participants will attend a single session, lasting no more than 2 hours, at our research lab on the UCR campus. During the session, the infant will be engaged in arm movement tasks in a sitting position. Also, the fitting of the wearable suit will be assessed.

A compensation of $40 gift card will be provided to the families who participate, as well as a diploma certificate for the infant to commemorate their participation in the study.

This study will help our research team to develop a pediatric assistive technology for use with infants at risk or with motor impairments. If you are interested in learning more about participating in our study, please contact the members of our research team:
