The temporary mandate for the use of face coverings indoors on the UC Riverside campus expired on Tuesday.

In place between May 30 and June 13, the temporary mandate was designed to decrease the likelihood of COVID-19 transmission during the end of the spring quarter. 

Face covering guidelines have returned to what was in place prior to the temporary mandate. Use of face coverings indoors are strongly recommended for all individuals who are up to date on COVID-19 vaccinations, and required for anyone who is not up to date on vaccinations. 

Environmental Health & Safety is offering free N95 and surgical masks to UCR employees. More information about face covering guidelines and where to obtain masks is available on the Campus Return website.
