UC Riverside leadership, faculty, and staff members celebrated joining the ranks of the nation’s top research universities as a member of the Association of American Universities at a meeting Thursday, June 1.

Chancellor Kim A. Wilcox announced the news at the Alumni and Visitors Center, describing it as a historic moment and one of the most important in the campus’ history.
