Highlanders enjoyed a performance by rapper Ludacris on Saturday, Nov. 8, capping off a week of festivities for UC Riverside’s Homecoming 2025.
The actor and hip hop star performed before a packed crowd, playing hits such as “Rollout (My Business)” and “Get Back.” For his song “Area Code,” 951 was put up on the screen in a nod to the Inland Southern California audience. Ludacris, who played at a Spring Splash concert in 2014, thanked UCR for inviting him back.
UCR alum DJ Alf Alpha (Rafael Lopez ’07) and BELARO, a hyper-pop and R&B artist, also played sets Saturday.
Alumni and their families enjoyed fun activities including riding a Ferris wheel, snapping candid shots in a photo booth, and rock climbing. Students and their families attended a campus celebration hosted by Highlander Family Network with student performances and lunch with campus leadership.
