Dear Colleagues:

I am pleased to connect you to brand.ucr.edu, a new site designed to provide practical tools to the campus community to tell and amplify the UC Riverside story.

The site features a robust set of resources that will support communications across print, digital, mobile, social, and in-person venues.

Below are some notable highlights of new or enhanced assets that are now available to faculty, staff, and students.

Brand Book

The university’s first Brand Book includes all of the most important elements of our messaging and visual identity in one place. Nearly 2,000 UCR stakeholders contributed toward the recently-completed Brand Messaging Initiative, and this book features the messaging tools that emerged out of that effort.

Design Templates

The graphic designers in University Communications have developed template designs for a variety of formats, including flyers, posters, postcards, brochures, invitations, event programs, slide decks, stationery, and more. The campus community has access to all of these templates, which can be customized in a variety of software platforms such as Microsoft Word, Canva, or InDesign.

Power Claims

The UCR Power Claims are a resource to communicate the university’s impact, quality, and effectiveness. You may use the Power Claims on their own or in combination with other messaging to support marketing, communications, fundraising, and other university initiatives. We will update and add new Power Claims later in 2019.

Video Footage

The campus community now has access to a significant collection of video footage filmed by University Communications. The footage features the full range of campus activities and venues.

Graphics and Downloads

Anyone looking for UCR logos, monograms, fonts, and other graphic resources may access and download them on the UCR brand website.

In addition, you may access other resources via the site such as email signatures, social media tools, summaries of campus communications channels, digital wallpaper, and photography assets.

Additional features will continue to be added to the site in the coming months.

We all have an opportunity to advance the reputation of this great university and the UCR University Communications team is here to support you. Feel free to contact us if you have ideas or recommendations on new tools to add to the site.
