Student Success Center design-build procurement completed

Planning, Design & Construction has completed the Design-Build procurement process for the Student Success Center (SSC) and the Swinerton-Gensler team was determined the Best-Value proposer. The Notice of Selection to this team has gone out at the end of last week. The SSC is an approximately 62,000 GSF facility that will be located immediately west of the Student Services building. The SSC will comprise approximately 1,100 general assignment seats distributed throughout the building in large classrooms and a variety of small/medium and large lecture halls to support Campus instructional needs. The SSC will also include multipurpose rooms, a student lounge, group meeting rooms, group study rooms, open study areas, scholarly activity spaces, and a Dining venue shell space. It is expected that the SSC construction will start late this calendar year and be completed for Fall semester, 2021.
