UC Riverside has created five campus working groups to plan for the fall and the transition to returning to campus.

See below for the latest updates from the working groups:

Student Services

The Student Services working groups campus briefing takes place May 12 at 3 p.m. and is available for view, both live and recorded on YouTube

COVID Management

Later this week, the university will release a new vaccine tracking form, which will allow UCR employees to voluntarily report that they have been fully vaccinated for COVID-19.

Student Health Services is receiving additional vaccines and will be able to increase availability of on-campus vaccinations for UCR students. Details on a start date will be announced to students soon.

The UCR Health vaccine clinic at the School of Medicine will continue to operate on Fridays until June 4. The clinics will be limited to 2nd doses of the Moderna vaccine.

The next meeting of the testing subcommittee takes place on Friday, May 13.

Operational Continuity

The Operational Continuity Workgroup reviewed an update from the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health at its meeting on May 6. The state agency is expected to extend temporary emergency standards requiring masking, safety protocols and space guidelines. Additional information is expected to be provided on May 20.

The workgroup also continued discussion about potential expansion of wifi on campus in outdoor areas and possible seating and shading needs for such facilities.
