Re:       Professional Development Funds for Unit 18 Members

Did you know? Funding is available to UCR Non-Senate Faculty (Unit 18 members) who want to pursue activities relating to their professional development as teachers and scholars.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FUND

In accordance with Article 9 of the Unit 18 (IX) contract negotiated by the UC-AFT, the University has created a fund for professional development for non-senate faculty (NSF) members (e.g. represented Lecturers, Supervisors of Teacher Education). Individual NSF will be eligible to submit requests for funding to support proposals for professional development including but not limited to professional meetings, training seminars and materials related to professional development.

Requests from eligible Unit 18 members will be reviewed to establish that they meet the award criteria and to determine the award recommendation.

Attached is a flyer with an overview of the Professional Development Fund program.
