Information Technology Solutions (ITS) is pleased to announce that UCR’s primary authentication systems—Central Authentication Service (CAS) and Shibboleth—will be upgraded in Summer 2020.

How Do These Upgrades Benefit UC Riverside?

Upgrading to the latest releases of these systems significantly improves our risk mitigation efforts, further securing campus data and systems. As an added benefit, users will experience a more streamlined and tailored look and feel.

How Will My User Experience Change?

In terms of functionality, you will not experience any changes. You will continue to log into CAS with your UCR NetID and password, and validate your identity with Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). Visually you’ll experience a polished login screen that showcases the UC Riverside logo, Bell Tower, and color scheme. View it on the ITS blog.
