In support of a new and improved campus user experience, users may notice rolling changes to the categorization of IT service forms and Knowledge Base articles over the course of the next few weeks.
Information Technology Solutions (ITS) has many key efforts underway in support of UC Riverside’s mission and growth. One such effort is a project to improve the campus user experience with IT resources. As a result, ITS plans to roll out a new website experience in Fall 2022!
The newly redesigned website will serve as a “one-stop-shop” for all central IT information, services, and self-help resources, streamlining the overall campus user experience. One important improvement is the reorganization and standardization of services. In alignment with universities around the nation, ITS will re-categorize its service forms and Knowledge Base (KB) articles according to Educause’s Higher Education IT Service Catalog Model.
In order to meet the planned Fall 2022 launch of the new website, ITS will need to recategorize its IT service forms and KB articles over the course of the next few weeks. Users may notice changes to categorization beginning July 28, 2022. While ITS endeavors to complete recategorization by August 5, 2022, it is possible that later changes may be needed, if identified.
Please note that these changes should not disrupt your ability to directly access service forms or KB articles, nor your ability to use the search bar function to find service forms and KB articles within the IT Service Center. The only expected impact is the display of new categories, and forms and articles existing within those new categories.
