UC Riverside offers Itopia Virtual Labs to all faculty, students, and staff. The virtual machines in Itopia are preloaded with specialty software like ArcGIS, making it a flexible and convenient platform for remote teaching, research, and collaboration.

How to Access
Log in to the Itopia portal using your Google credentials (netid@ucr.edu). This will give you the student view and access to the labs. KB0011394 provides more information on getting started in Itopia.
If you would like to create a lab specific to your class, please submit a ticket and include your class name and class roster. Creating a lab for your class will allow you to configure your virtual lab environment based on your specific needs. Additional benefits of having a specialized virtual lab include:
- Class roster management
- Ability to schedule virtual sessions
- Ability to remotely shadow student workstations
- Ability to start all workstations in the class at the same time
- Class-specific usage reporting
