Join us in welcoming new/returning students to campus and encourage them to discover resources, explore campus, meet their community, and have fun by ensuring they know about all Fall 2026 events during Week 0 and Week 1.
💙💛 How Your Team Can Participate: Submit all Welcome Week 2026 events to the UCR Events Calendar (events.ucr.edu) with the tag "WelcomeWeek2026" by September 15, 2026.
- To be considered a Welcome Week event, the event date must fall between September 19 (first day of housing move-in) and October 4 (end of Week 1).
- We will only share events.ucr.edu links, so if your event exists on Instagram or other platforms, please also add it to the campus’ preferred events calendar.
- If you have not yet completed your planning stage, please submit your event to the UCR Events Calendar with “save the date” messaging, then return to your listing before the article is published on/around Sept. 18 to add event details.
- If you'd like to feature WW26 events on your website, create/embed a Localist widget. (You can share all events or just your division's/department's.)
- To see the collection of WW26 events, click here. (This page will grow as people start submitting events.)
How University Communications will promote your Event:
- We will publish an article around Sept. 18 (similar to WW25) that bundles all WW26 events in a digestible format.
- We’ll link to the article from social (@UCRiversideOfficial) and campus display screens, and share some events via stories. Please repost and share on your end.
- We’ll boost student interest with a UCR Bookstore gift card giveaway.
