UC Riverside faculty, staff, and students who use the Big Springs Road campus entrance can expect some delays in April due to a city public works project.

The city began repaving select streets near the east side of campus earlier this month, beginning with concrete repairs to sidewalks, curbs, and gutters.

Street paving on Big Springs between Valencia Hill Drive and Mt. Vernon Avenue is scheduled between April 8-18. Riverside city officials have informed the university the road will be closed for periods of time although the exact dates and hours are not yet known.

The closure is expected to affect access to locations such as the Botanic Gardens, Lothian and Glen Mor residence halls, and parking lot 13.

Those who use the east campus entrance are advised to prepare for delays and plan accordingly.
