Are you looking for the right banker, a deal on coffee, or office supplies? They’ll all be under one roof for the 2019 Community Partner Fair on April 10 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 pm. in HUB 302.
Sponsored by the UC Riverside Staff Assembly, the annual event will feature 51 booths where vendors from on and off campus will publicize the services and goods they offer to staff, faculty, and students.
The campus has more than 200 departments, which purchase more than $200 million a year in products and services, according to Staff Assembly. The fair allows the campus community, who can shop as individuals or a department, to see what vendors have to offer, said Ross French, president of Staff Assembly.
“We want you to go from table to table,” he said. “We want you to engage with the vendor.”
The fair, which books up quickly each year, features a wide assortment of vendors. At last year’s fair, for example, a Bundt cake bakery, a balloon store, and a dentist were among those hosting booths. A variety of campus services — such as dining, business services, and fleet services — are also represented.
The event is open to all on campus with vendors often offering food, swag, and contests to attract customers. About 500 people attended last year’s fair, French said.
The fair is the year’s biggest fundraiser for Staff Assembly, which promotes the interests and welfare of staff through recognition, engagement, and professional development.
