UC Riverside ranked No. 27 out of 6,000 schools in a list celebrating top colleges delivering outstanding experiential learning opportunities to students.
Forage, an educational technology startup that provides a job simulation platform, released its Experiential Learning Awards on April 27.
The award recognizes the top 50 four-year institutions in the U.S. that have excelled in driving student engagement and faculty involvement in experiential learning, according to Forage.
Institutions were judged on three factors: student engagement, faculty involvement, and institutional characteristics such as occupational programs, continuing professional education, credit for experiences such as military training, and placement services.
“What separates these leading education institutions is that they’re in touch with the needs of students,” said Harrison Bass, Forage’s head of university partnerships. “Top institutions recognize that career readiness and work-integrated learning must be core to the student experience, closely aligned with a student’s academic experience.”
