UC Riverside has been named one of the world’s top universities in the 2024 edition of the QS World University Rankings released June 27.

The campus placed No. 69 in the United States in the 20th edition of the rankings, published by higher education analyst Quacquarelli Symonds and posted at TopUniversities.com.

The list features 1,500 universities in 104 locations around the world. The publisher based its rankings on factors including academic reputation, employment outcomes, citations per faculty, student-to-faculty ratio, sustainability, and proportion of international faculty and students.

The results draw on the analysis of 17.5 million academic papers and the expert opinions of more than 240,000 faculty members and employers, according to QS.
