Dear Highlanders,

Thank you to all those who have submitted their proof of the COVID-19 vaccination by the deadline of August 16, 2021. Student Health Services is in receipt of thousands of new vaccination records. With that being stated, we are asking those who have recently uploaded their proof of COVID-19 vaccinations to exercise extreme patience while Student Health Services process verifications.

If you have not submitted your proof of vaccination or completed a medical and/or religious exemption, the consequences of non-compliance will begin with current/future registration, including a hold on second pass, which begins on September 10, 2021. If non-compliance persists, interim suspension will take place, which is a suspension of student status and privileges that includes exclusion from classes and other university activities.

Please note, Student Health Services is accepting proof of the COVID-19 vaccine first dose. If you are scheduled to receive your second dose following the Aug. 16 deadline, you must contact covid19@medsch.ucr.edu immediately. International Students have until Monday, October 18, 2021, to submit their proof of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Please act now! Your compliance is required. Per the UC Office of the President, all students must be vaccinated for COVID-19 for the 2021-2022 academic year. The new  SARS-CoV 2 Vaccination Policy, which took effect on July 15, 2021, came in response to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases across the state and the nation.

We are asking students with COVID related questions/concerns to email covid19@medsch.UCR.edu.

We can all do our part to ensure our campus remains a safe and healthy environment for all.
