The UCR Policy Office invites comments on the newly-developed Campus Procedures for Establishing, Increasing, Reducing or Eliminating Campus-Based Student Fees. These procedures implement the systemwide Policies Applying to Campus Activities, Organizations and Students (PACAOS), Sections 80.00 and 90.00 on the UCR campus.

The proposed procedures were modeled off of implementing procedures at other UC campuses and refined to align with UCR’s processes by individuals within the Chancellor’s Org, ASUCR Staff, Financial Planning & Analysis, and the Chief Compliance Office with substantive feedback provided by the UC Office of the President.

These procedures are meant to amplify, clarify and augment the PACAOS policies pertaining to Compulsory and Voluntary Campus-Based Student Fees. The procedures specifically describe the processes for Compulsory Campus-Based Student Fees not requiring referenda; processes for increasing, eliminating or reducing Compulsory Campus-Based Student Fees; and processes for Voluntary Campus-Based Student Fees.

You can find the proposed draft of the campus procedures here. If you are interested in commenting on this policy revision prior to approval, please do so by June 7, 2022 via the following Policy Comment Form.
