Two recent UC Riverside graduates are part of the 2018-2019 class of Capital Fellows serving in the state Legislature in Sacramento.
Mina Hakin and Claire Marks, both graduates with degrees in political science, are Senate Fellows in the program administered by the Center for California Studies at California State University, Sacramento.
They began their fellowships in late October and will continue through September with Hanin placed with state Senator Benjamin Allen, D-Santa Monica; and Marks with state Senator Shannon Grove, R- Bakersfield.
Fellows work as full-time staff members in the program, participating in policymaking and learning first-hand about state government.
