UCR’s Risk & Safety Training Center of Excellence received a Collaboration Award from California State University for safety training material developed by its staff members.

The award was presented Jan. 9 at Cal State San Marcos, to the team that assisted the California State University system by providing laboratory safety materials produced at UCR. Team members included Janette de la Rosa Ducut, Cassandra Greenawalt, Heather Davis, and My-Linh Tran.

The training team provided customized online courses and video content based on material it had produced for University of California campuses in collaboration with laboratory safety specialists.

The material was needed by the Cal State system to meet the terms of a state auditor’s report regarding hazardous materials in laboratories.
