Thomas Kramer, a UC Riverside professor of marketing, has been named a co-editor of the Journal of Consumer Psychology, one of the top academic journals covering psychology relating to consumer behavior.

Kramer, an associate dean for undergraduate business programs at the UCR School of Business, is a member of the editorial team that will oversee the journal for a three-year period starting January 2021.

"I am humbled and honored to be put in charge of one of the premier journals of our field as a co-editor,” Kramer said. “Our team appreciates the hard work done by our predecessors in raising the quality and reputation of the Journal of Consumer Psychology, and I hope I can contribute to its continued upward trajectory."

Kramer’s research focuses on the factors that influence decision-making and consumer beliefs.

He is currently an associate editor at both the Journal of Consumer Research and the Journal of Consumer Psychology, and has served on the editorial review boards of both publications.
