UC Riverside has received four awards from the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education, or CASE, for its marketing work.

CASE District VII presented the 2021 Awards of Excellence in a live online ceremony on Feb. 5.

University Communications won two gold awards, one for its Brand Visual Identity Initiative and the other for the Beyond Brilliant Integrated Seasonal Promotion.

The first award was in the marketing-branding programs category and was for the June 2020 launch of the university’s updated logo, monogram, graphic icons, typography, color palette, and design guidelines.

The award for Beyond Brilliant was in the marketing-advertising campaign category for UCR’s 2019 integrated holiday promotion that included a sponsorship with the Riverside Festival of Lights. The campaign included a new mobile-friendly donation platform, as well as alumni and donor events.

In the communications pivot category, the School of Public Policy won a bronze award for its launch of a virtual engagement platform in March 2020 in response to COVID-19.

The College of Natural and Agricultural Sciences also won a bronze award in the diversity, equity and inclusion category for the establishment last year of a new endowment advancing diversity in entomology inspired by the Black Lives Matter movement.
