Stephanie Nguyen, marketing data manager in UC Riverside’s University Relations, is the 2024 recipient of the Rising Star Award from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, or CASE, for District VII.

As a member of the digital marketing and analytics team, Nguyen develops comprehensive data analysis, reporting, and research strategies for UCR’s communications efforts.  Overseeing web, social, video, and email analytics tools, Nguyen helps University Relations and other campus partners refine best practices to reach key target groups.

The award, presented to Nguyen at the CASE conference in Anaheim on March 4, recognizes an employee in the field of university advancement whose accomplishments distinguish them as a future leader and whose performance demonstrates innovation, professionalism, and leadership qualities, according to CASE.

“It is an honor for me to represent UC Riverside as a rising star within CASE,” Nguyen said. “I am constantly inspired by my colleagues and peers who work every day to transform and enhance the lives of our students, faculty, staff, and the greater community.”

Kelly McGrail, director of digital marketing and analytics, said Nguyen was nominated due to her exceptional contributions to the team and the broader industry.

“Stephanie stands out as a true innovator and leader in the marketing analytics field, breaking barriers and pushing the boundaries of what is possible,” she said.

A UCR alumna, Nguyen joined the University Relations team in 2022 and previously worked in University Advancement's Development office for two years.

This is the second year in a row that CASE has presented the Rising Star Award to a UCR employee. DuBron Rabb, a senior director of development in University Advancement, was last year’s recipient.
