UC Riverside has been named among the “Most Promising Places to Work in Student Affairs.”
UCR’s Student Affairs organization was one of only 22 selected for the annual report, which will be published in a future edition of “Diverse: Issues in Higher Education” magazine and presented to recipients in February.
The survey, conducted with ACPA-College Student Educators International, focuses on workplace diversity, staffing practices, and work environment. It examines categories such as family friendliness, salary and benefits, and professional development opportunities in creating its list. The institutions were not ranked in any order.
“Our dedicated career and student staff make UCR’s Student Affairs one of the most promising and fulfilling places to work in the entire country,” said Brian Haynes, vice chancellor for student affairs. “While I am not surprised by this ranking, I'm very grateful to Diverse magazine that our unwavering commitment to students is receiving much-deserved national recognition.”
This is the third time UCR has been included in the list.
Student Affairs oversees a number of services in the areas of campus life including ethnic and gender programs, student life, athletics, the Career Center, Student Recreation Center, and the Highlander Union Building.
