UC Riverside has once again won the designation of a military friendly school in recognition of the programs and services it offers to veterans and military-connected students.

The campus received a gold ranking among Tier 1 research institutions in the 2026-2027 survey results released March 25. UCR was also designated as a military spouse friendly school. UCR has received the designation multiple times over the past decade.

Institutions that received the designation were evaluated using public data and responses from a survey. Over 3,200 schools participated in the survey, conducted by the Military Friendly Advisory Council, a group of independent leaders in the military community.

The ratings were determined by the survey score, public data, and an assessment of support for veterans in recruitment, retention, academic progress, graduation rates, career placement, and campus support.
