The applied behavior analysis program at UC Riverside’s School of Education was ranked No. 9 in California by an online resource for those pursuing a career in the profession.

The Applied Behavior Analysis Programs Guide considered student-to-faculty ratios, tuition, and Board Certified Behavior Analysis exam pass rates in determining the best programs for those wishing to work in special education, social work, counseling, rehabilitation and other related professions, according to the site.

“The high-quality Masters of Education in ABA from the University of California, Riverside provides students with the high-quality instruction and fieldwork experience students need for a successful career,” the ranking states.

Students in UCR’s applied behavior analysis program receive intensive instruction and supervised concentrated fieldwork in the use of behavior principles to support the behavioral health of children and adults. They can complete their degrees in four quarters.

The Program Guide notes a rising demand for board certified behavior analysts over the last decade, increasing 17% from 2019 to 2020. Demand was highest in California, which accounted for 23% of the total demand in 2020.
