Rachel Wu, an associate professor of psychology at UC Riverside, has been made a fellow of the Association for Psychological Science.
The prestigious designation is conferred on APS members who have made sustained, outstanding contributions to psychological science through research, teaching, service, or the application of their work, according to the association.
Founded in 1988, the nonprofit organization endeavors to promote, protect, and advance scientifically oriented psychology.
Wu, a developmental cognitive neuroscientist, directs the Cognitive Agility Across the Lifespan Lab at UCR. The lab investigates the drivers of cognitive development and decline to understand how to optimize learning and attention across the human lifespan. The goal is to help people maximize their learning potential at any age.
Wu earned a doctorate in psychology from Birkbeck, University of London.
